This is a full-day tour by car or by bus. During the excursion you will understand why these nature objects have such topographic names.
The names of the Mayachnaja bay and the Signalnaja hill reflect the significance of these objects in the history of Petropavlovsk: the lighthouse in the bay showed the way to the Avacha bay and from the hill Petropavlovsk was announced about the arrival of the ships.
So the citizens in Petropavlovsk managed to prepare themselves to meet both friends and enemies as well.
And in the time of the Anglo-French attack the Russian soldiers could resist the squadron in the bay and warned the residents about the attack
During the excursion you will hear a touching legend about three brothers - the defenders of the bay - who saved their people and finally turned into the picturesque rocks. So, the Signalnaja hill, the Mayachnaja bay with the rocks "Three brothers" are still stay on guard of the city.
