of the Paratunka river, see the Vilyuchinsky volcano in immediate
proximity, make a tour to the 40-meter waterfall and come up to
the Verhne-Paratunskie hot springs area and take a bath there.
The hot springs are located in the valley of the Paratunka river,
16 km apart from the Paratunka settlement.
The springs can be found at the height of 80 meters on the slope
of the Goryachaja hill which separates the Paratunka river and the
Karymshina river. The springs area is constantly steaming, The vegetation
is very specific here: the bushy alder-trees are followed by light-green
cedar bushes. Hot springs form 3 parallel flowing warm rivulets.
70 meters apart from the mouth of the rivulets there is a warm waterfall.
The temperature in the springs changes from 39° to 70° C. As to
the water composition it is sodium-chloride and nitrogen-carbonic.
