Phototour to Kamchatka
Beautiful
and unique is the nature of Kamchatka. Hardly ever can you find a
man who remains indifferent when meeting this unforgettable land.
So why is Kamchatka so enchanting and magnetic for photographers?
First of all, this is the land of volcanoes. There are 29 active volcanoes
on the peninsula, among them the Klychevskoy volcano is the highest
volcano in Eurasia (4850 meters).
The unique Kamchatka landscape is determined by the volcanic activity.
Secondly, some areas are considered to be pristine and untouched.
It is the result of the establishment of state nature reserves (the
Kronotsky Biosphere Reserve with its famous Valley of Geysers; the
Commandor Reserve), wildlife refuges, nature parks.
It is possible to meet here the master of taiga - the brown bear,
besides,- elk, reindeer, lynx, snowsheep, sable, fox, mink, otter
and other animals. You can come across with a great number of birds
species such as Steller sea eagles, swans and a variety of ducks. The
Commandor islands, a part of the Kamchatka region are significant
for their rookeries of fur seals and sea lions, seals and sea otters
and also a great number of sea birds. You can take pictures of all
this beauty.
